SOPHONT FORGE april entry

The race of Ainogir is one of the most advanced silicon entities that exist around the planet Regebru, a world characterized by its eccentric orbit. The huge shift away suffering in each orbit has caused the planet to have a volatile and chaotic climate, which worsens during the summer months when the planet is at perihelion. 

The orbital period of the planet is about 6 years, with a short approach to the sun for 2 years, while the following 4 remains away from the planet.

They are beings of about 2.5 meters high, with two huge delta-shaped shells, joined by several joints and muscles; the only soft parts they exposed is formed of a great manipulator organ corresponding to part of its "mouth", which is modified so that it uses as a hand, while below, also has other extensions of the mouth, one strange tubular tip used to generate infrasound to communicate with each other, and the second, used to mobilize like a snail. Along the front edge of a row of fleshy structures, similar to "bowtie" which, on its sides have eyespots that together help in vision overlook, but those ones are quite rudimentary as they are unable to see colors. At the top stands a strange bunch of filaments, it is presumed that used to perceive pheromones and aromatic compounds in the air, as a sense of smell. The speed with which they move is quite slow as a snail too, although they exhibit a great agility when handling the objects with its tip.

Its form, behavior and shape are the result of its catastrophic world, most of their relatives and ancestors are an advanced group of bivalves like creatures that remain under the ground during the summer months and that arise when the cold season arrive. They present a fairly primitive culture, able to build simple structures and basic tools technological level. 

One of some of the most outstanding architectural works of this species has been a strange and huge monolithic pyramids which have an interesting relation with the changes in the sun light direction by the orbit changes because depending of the time, the shadow on the ground is aligned with a group of stones placed strategy around the struture, showing a certain tradition related with the orbital changes.
